Terms of service

Terms are not final yet.

This pre-launch site provides general information and a browser-only IMEI format preview. It does not sell or perform phone unlocks.

No paid service is currently offered. No checkout is available, no eligibility review is being sold, and no payment is collected. The €9.99 planned price and 24-hour target are tentative planning details only.

What the preview does

The preview checks the 15-digit IMEI format and checksum locally in your browser. It does not identify a phone model, check a blacklist, confirm an original carrier, determine unlock eligibility, or submit an unlock request. Those lookups require a verified provider that is not connected.

Information, not a carrier decision

Information on this site is general and may become outdated. Only the original carrier can confirm its policy and decide whether a particular phone qualifies. Carrier unlocking does not remove account locks, device passcodes, financing obligations, or ownership restrictions.

Planned eligibility-check refund approach

The planned €9.99 fee would pay for the eligibility assessment itself. If a completed assessment finds that a device is ineligible or that an unlock cannot be offered, that result alone would not qualify for a refund. This is a proposed policy only: mandatory cancellation, conformity, and other consumer rights will continue to apply. The policy for a check that cannot be completed at all must be set out clearly before checkout opens.

Future terms

Before paid orders open, the operator's legal name, country, contact details, service description, supported coverage, price, delivery estimate, privacy practices, cancellation process, and final refund terms must be stated clearly. Where required, any request to begin a service during a cancellation period and any acknowledgement of the effect on cancellation rights must be collected before work starts.

Third-party links

Carrier websites are operated by third parties and have their own terms and policies. MobileUnlock is independent and does not control those services.

Draft status: pre-launch informational notice, not terms for a paid contract.
