The catalog identifies a model only when a TAC match is available; otherwise it may show the manufacturer alone. A device match does not check carrier lock, blacklist, Activation Lock, or unlock eligibility. Privacy details.

What an IMEI format check can tell you

The checksum can catch some typing errors; it cannot prove ownership, identify blacklist status, show the current carrier lock, or reliably identify a handset model. Those results require an authoritative IMEI/TAC lookup source that is not connected yet.
