Questions, answeredFrequently asked questions
Practical answers about carrier unlocking and the planned MobileUnlock service.
Does unlocking a phone remove iCloud or Google account locks?
No. Carrier unlocking is separate from Apple Activation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection, and a screen passcode. Only the legitimate account holder or manufacturer support can resolve account-protection issues.
Can every phone be unlocked?
No universal guarantee is possible. Eligibility depends on the original carrier, its country-specific policy, account and payment status, and device history.
Can you unlock any carrier in any country?
Not currently. The service is pre-launch and an authorised provider with confirmed country, carrier, and model coverage has not been selected.
How much does the planned check cost?
The planned price is €9.99. Orders are not open and no payment is accepted at this time.
How long does a check take?
The current planning target is 24 hours for a supported check. It is not a live commitment or guarantee.
Can the IMEI checker identify my phone model?
Not yet. The preview checks only the 15-digit format and checksum in your browser. Model recognition, blacklist status, and carrier-lock status require a verified lookup source that is not connected.
What if the check finds my phone is not eligible?
The planned fee is for the eligibility assessment itself, so an ineligible result alone would not qualify for a refund if the check was completed. Any mandatory consumer rights would still apply. Final terms will be published before checkout opens.
Can I track an unlock order?
Order tracking is not available because paid eligibility checks and unlock requests are not open yet.
Do you need my Apple ID or carrier password?
No. Never share passwords or one-time codes with a third-party unlocking service. The preview stores the IMEI in this browser tab only and does not send it to a lookup service.
