Privacy information

This site is a pre-launch information site. The checker performs a local IMEI format check and searches a device catalog.

IMEI and device match

The 15-digit IMEI is checked in your browser. For the device match, the browser uses the first eight digits (the TAC) to search the local catalog. It downloads only the static TAC data file for the first two digits. The full IMEI is not sent to a MobileUnlock server or an external lookup provider.

If you continue to the review page, this browser tab's session storage keeps the selected country, network, manufacturer/model catalog result, the last four IMEI digits, and a timestamp. The full IMEI is not saved. These temporary details remain in that tab until you choose “Clear details” or close it. The preview does not put the IMEI in the page URL. Do not enter an IMEI for a device you are not authorised to check.

Country and network list

The checker downloads the operator catalog from this site to populate country-specific MCC/MNC network choices. Your selected country and network are not submitted to a paid lookup provider.

Website operations

Cloudflare, as the site host, receives ordinary technical request data when your browser loads a page, such as IP address, browser details, and request logs. When the checker loads a static TAC catalog file, the request includes its two-digit file prefix.

Third-party links

Links to carrier sites take you to third-party services with their own privacy practices. Review those notices before submitting information to a carrier.

Before a paid service launches

A complete commercial privacy notice must identify the legal operator, contact details, purposes and legal bases, service providers, retention periods, international transfers, user rights, and complaint options. Those business details have not been finalised. No device-status provider, account, checkout, or paid service is connected.
